  • Walter O’Malley is named senior class president at the University of Pennsylvania. He was previously elected as Penn’s junior class president, thus becoming the first two-time class president there in 25 years.

  • Walter O’Malley meets with Bob Selleck, real estate investor, at Dodger Stadium. Selleck is the father of Emmy® award-winning television star Tom Selleck and Robert Selleck, Jr., who was a pitcher in the Dodger organization. Bob Selleck served as a first vice president of Coldwell Banker realtors and was assisting O’Malley with Los Angeles property.
