Walter O’Malley travels to St. Paul, Minnesota for dedication ceremonies of the St. Paul stadium. St. Paul was one of the Dodger Triple-A minor league teams.

A letter from Jesse L. Swords, President of Swords Brothers-McDougal Co., Inc., General Contractors in Vero Beach, Florida indicates that Walter O’Malley is considering a contract to bid the installation of two new practice fields, a canal and vehicle bridge behind Holman Stadium at Dodgertown. Plans are submitted by Swords, but no other follow-up takes place. The area is where the Dodgertown Golf Course was eventually built near the ground’s heart-shaped lake in the mid-1960s.
