Walter O’Malley is among the business and community leaders attending the 74th Annual dinner of the Brooklyn Club at 131 Remsen Street. According to the Brooklyn Eagle, “In an atmosphere of happy association and congenial companionship, members of the oldest social organization in the State, dedicated to perennial fellowship, swapped tales of the old City of Brooklyn, sang old ballads and recalled some of the old-timers who helped establish the club.” Brooklyn Eagle, April 27, 1939

Guests of Walter O’Malley for the Dodgers vs. St. Louis Cardinals game at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum include Boston Celtic sharpshooters Bill Sharman and Bob Cousy. Sharman was a roommate of Norm Larker in the Dodger minor league system.
