1956 Official Brooklyn Dodger Yearbook

The 1956 Dodgers made their Goodwill Tour to Japan in the fall. The 1956 Dodger Yearbook featured biographies and photos of all of the team members. The yearbook cover features the artwork of famous cartoonist Willard Mullin who drew 1955 World Championship banner and the “Brooklyn Bum” character is preparing to cut the last “5” off 1955 and replace it with a “6” for 1956. The Dodgers won the National League Pennant once again, but fell in the 1956 World Series to the New York Yankees in seven games.
