1993 Commemorative Patch for Ike Ikuhara

This patch, “Ike” represents the respect and affection for Akihiro “Ike” Ikuhara, an executive for the Los Angeles Dodgers and a member of the Japan Baseball Hall of Fame. Ikuhara began working for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1965 and was significant in the growth of baseball internationally and as a medal sport in the Olympic Games. Ikuhara passed away in 1992 and the Dodgers wore this patch during their 1993 Friendship Series games in Fukuoka, Japan. Ikuhara is the only major league executive to be elected to the Japan Baseball Hall of Fame.
