Personalized Autographed Baseball of Ichiro Suzuki, presented to Peter O’Malley

Ichiro Suzuki visits Dodger Stadium to meet Peter O’Malley, President, Los Angeles Dodgers, 1970-1998 and presented him with a personalized, autographed baseball, December 18, 1995. Suzuki wanted to show his appreciation and respect to O’Malley for the contract signing and the development of Hideo Nomo, the first Japan-born player in the major leagues in 30 seasons. Suzuki was an already established fine player in Japan for the Orix Blue Wave. Suzuki ultimately would play exceptionally in MLB and became the greatest hit leader in professional baseball with 4,367 hits combined in Japan and MLB.
